TULUM TREEHOUSE - HOUSE RULES
SUSTAINABILITY & ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
We recommend upcoming guests to watch the documentary The Dark Side of Tulum prior to their journey, to understand the fragility of Tulum’s environment.
Sustainable living is mandatory to preserve nature around us; Treehouse aims to utilise 100% of consumed energy from solar panels attached to the house’s roof. Unfortunately we must rely on a an additional generator, which is turned on at 22h.
Guests can’t dispose any waste nor toilet paper in the toilets, using the provided bins. There is no sewage system by the beach and each property manages their own water resources.
Guests agree to a conscious use of air conditioning, limited to when they are in the room, only after 22h, and always switching it off when leaving the house - for a maximum use of 10h per day.
Sheets and towels will be changed on the 3rd day to minimise environmental impact.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Treehouse will provide all food & beverages (F&B) on property. Any external catering services need to be approved by our Managers.
The use of the kitchen is exclusive to our chef and team, except when renting the house entirely.
STAFF Only our own staff will be allowed to work in our premises; external workers within the housekeeping and cooking areas are not allowed.
Gatherings in the house for more than 10 people require approval and supervision of our Managers, and are subject to cleaning fees.
BRINGING FRIENDS TO PROPERTY
Treehouse’s guests are permitted to bring up to three guests on property during the day. Friends of guests are only permitted in property while guests are on property. Any additional guests staying overnight need to be informed and approved by our Management.
Cars are not allowed to park on property. Drop off & on is permitted only at the main gate. Cars may be parked in public parkings nearby.
Treehouse is a gathering place for like-minded individuals. Communal areas are to be shared and creative exchange is encouraged, while respecting everyone’s privacy. Community building events might take place as programmed and guests need to be informed.
The property and its decoration must be respected and movement of furniture, fixtures or facilities may not be rearranged unless otherwise approved by our representatives.
Guests are responsible for any damage they (or their guests) may cause. Guests need to reimburse Treehouse in full for all losses, damages and breakages (including bicycles).
Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings in the house. We recommend valuables are kept at all times in the safe.
Treehouse is located in an area with risk of fires; a conscious and prudent behaviour concerning smoking and all other kinds of open fire is essential.
Smoking is forbidden inside the house at any time. Due to the risk of fires, our management reserves the right to prohibit or limit smoking in any area of Treehouse’s premises at any time.

Guests will be held accountable if they (or their guests) disclose or identify any other guests or visitors who are at Treehouse in any press or social media - incl. Facebook, Twitter and personal blogs.
